Bliss
BLISS
No other than Boy George - the legendary icon of the 80’s are
collaborating with Bliss on their long awaited fourth album.
Also featured on ‘No One Built This Moment’ is Lisbeth Scott
(from Steven Spielbergs ’Munich’ and Mel Gibson’s ‘The Passion
of the Christ’) as well as Sophie Barker from Zero 7, so there is
plenty of reason to lean back and enjoy.
But that’s not all:
• Right know the sound of Bliss can be heard in a worldwide
campaign for DKNY as Bliss has signed a 2 year contract with the
fashion label
• The song ’Kissing’ is featured on the original soundtrack of ’Sex
and the City – The Movie’ (4 million copies sold so far)
• Guitar-hero Carlos Santana has made a request to use one of
their songs
• So far Bliss has contributed with five tracks to C.S.I., the
world’s most popular crime show
• Bliss has sold more than 100.000 albums worldwide and is
featured on more than 300 compilations
• Bliss reached the #1 in the USA on iTunes with the previous
album ’Quiet Letters’ - the album that includes the song ‘Kissing’
No one built this moment
The Sex and the City-soundtrack and the new collaborations with
artists like Boy George have only enhanced the enormous interna-
tional attention Bliss is receiving from around the world. In some
parts of the world the duo is treated like superstars.
Still Steffen Aaskoven and Marc-George Andersen aka Bliss insist on
staying grounded.
”We refer to ourselves as an anti-band, because we are two creative
minds who want to compose and record music with no particular
intention of performing live or become famous,” says Marc-George
Andersen.
Bliss has, however, played a few concerts e.g. in the Philippines,
where they – to their own astonishment – were greeted in the
airport by TV-crews, fans and shouting reporters.
With ’No One Built This Moment’ they have kept the strings and the
fundamental calm and warmth so characteristic of the sound of
Bliss, though ’No One Built This Moment’ is less melancholic than
their last album ’Quiet Letters’.
Facts on Bliss:

and chill out
